Clean Energy Ally Portal Frequently Asked Questions

Introduction

On the Clean Energy Ally portal you will have one of two possible roles:

Person In Charge: In this role, you will be responsible for your personal information as well as your organization’s information. The Organization Info will determine how your company will be presented on Hawai‘i Energy’s on-line vendor directory.

Organization User: In this role, you will be responsible for your personal information only, however, you will be able to view the Organization Info.

  • How to navigate to the Clean Energy Allies portal

    Hawai‘i Energy has two paths on how you can enter the Clean Energy Ally portal:

    1. Global header: Go to hawaiienergy.com, and click on “ Contractor Login”.
    2. Clean Energy Ally Landing page: Go to hawaiienergy.com/CEA, scroll down to find the section “Already a Clean Energy Ally?” At right. Click the “Login” button.
  • I forgot my password. How do I reset my account?

    Navigate to the Clean Energy Ally portal login screen (see FAQ 1). Just above the “Login” button, find the hyperlink, “I forgot my password” and click on it. Enter your email to receive instructions to proceed.

  • How to I update my personal information?

    Once signed into the CEA portal, you will be on the CEA Landing Page where a number of ‘portlet’s (e.g. white boxes) are presented. You will see your name at the top of the screen and under, “Welcome [name], navigate over the top-left portlet titled, “ACCOUNT” and select the “Click here” button to proceed.

    Proceed to select “Personal Info” and change your information. When complete, select OK to save.

  • How to I update my company information?

    As an Organization User, you do not have permissions to update (e.g. modify) your organization’s information. While you can view the Organization Info, changing this information is an administrative function and exclusively reserved for your company’s Person in Charge (PIC).

    To find your company’s PIC, go into the "ACCOUNT" portlet, and under "Organization Users," you’ll find the Person in Charge as the first listing.

  • How do I unlock all the CEA dashboard resources portlets?

    In order to unlock all the portlets you need to complete the registration process. Once your completed you will receive a digital CEA certificate and that will indicate all resources portlets will be unlocked. If you selected an advanced specialty, you must meet any additional requirements associated with this specialty before the registration can be completed. Although you will receive a digital CEA certificate indicating that portlets can be unlocked, this functionality will not be available until these requirements are met.

  • How to I access my CEA certificate?

    Once signed into the CEA portal, you will be on the CEA Landing Page where a number of ‘portlet’s (e.g. white boxes) are presented. You will see your name at the top of the screen and under, “Welcome [name], navigate over the top-left portlet titled, “ACCOUNT” and select the “Click here” button to proceed.

    Proceed to select “CEA Certification” and select hyperlink named CEA Training Completion [name] just below "DOWNLOAD PDF".

  • What happens if I register with an Avanced Specialty?

    If you register with an advanced specialty, additional requirements may apply. Once you create and account and select an advanced specialty, you will receive an email from Hawai‘i Energy staff informing you of any additional requirements. These requirements must be completed prior to being fully on boarded and registered as a CEA. While requirements are in process of being fulfilled, the unlocking of resource portlets will not be available, and you will not be listed as a CEA on the portal. Once requirements are met and registration is complete, the CEA will be listed and full access to the CEA portal will be available.

  • How to I change my organization information?

    Once signed into the CEA portal, you will be on the CEA Landing Page where a number of ‘portlet’s (e.g. white boxes) are presented. You will see your name at the top of the screen and under, “Welcome [name], navigate over the top-left portlet titled, “ACCOUNT” and select the “click here” button to proceed.

    Proceed to select “Organization Info”. Make desired changes and click “Submit” button at the bottom of the page.

  • How to I manage my organization employees?

    Upon registration, Organization Users choose an existing organization. As a PIC, you can only remove Organization Users by selecting the plus sign (+) to expand the User’s details. Once expanded, select the “Remove” button. To add users, the PIC must direct their colleague to properly register and select the correct Organization.

  • How to I change the Person In Charge (e.g. organization administrator)?

    By definition, if you are the first user to register for your Organization, you are by default the Person in Charge (PIC).

    The current PIC is the only role that can change the designated PIC to a different user. Any prospective PIC must already be registered with that organization.

    To change the PIC to a new Organization User, from the Organization Users page, select “Edit”, which is to the right of PERSON IN CHARGE. From the dropdown menu, select the new designated user and click the “Save” button.

    WARNING: Once you click on the “SAVE” button, the existing PIC will immediately lose all PIC privileges. Once sure of your selection, click the “Save” button.
