Hawaii Energy Reminds Residents to Use Caution When Responding to Unsolicited Offers and Telephone Calls

It has recently come to the attention of Hawaii Energy, the conservation and efficiency program for Hawaii, Honolulu and Maui counties, that Hawaii residents may have received telephone calls from a person or entity posing as Hawaii Energy.  On these calls, the person or entity posing as Hawaii Energy claims that the resident won a vacation and requests the resident’s financial information.  Hawaii Energy would like to clarify that these telephone calls are neither approved nor endorsed by Hawaii Energy. Hawaii Energy does not ask residents for financial information.
