Hawaii Energy Rebate Participants and the Public May be Contacted for Program Evaluations
Posted July 31, 2013
Third-party telephone surveys, interviews and onsite inspections are being conducted as part of routine evaluation activity for energy efficiency programs offered by Hawaii Energy, on behalf of the Hawaii Public Utilities Commission. These surveys, interviews and onsite inspections are designed to ensure that the energy efficiency programs are operating effectively, and to collect information that will facilitate continuous improvement of the programs. Research will primarily take place between July and September 2013.
Hawaii Energy greatly appreciates your participation with these evaluation activities and candid feedback.
(1) Phone surveys and calls to schedule onsite inspections: SMS Research, a Honolulu-based research company, has been contracted to contact participants and the general public by telephone to conduct surveys. In addition, some participants will be asked to participate with onsite visits. As part of this work, a field technician will visit your business or household to collect information about electricity-using equipment. (2) Onsite inspections: The goal is to ensure that program rebates and incentives were received by participants and feedback is provided about the effectiveness of the program. Onsite inspections will be conducted by Michael’s Engineering, Pacific SBS or Evergreen Economics. Questions: Please contact Hawaii Energy at (808) 537-5577 (Oahu), toll-free at (877) 231-8222 (Neighbor Islands) or HawaiiEnergy@leidos.com.
