Hawaii Energy Reminds Residents to Use Caution with Unsolicited Rebates

Posted June 26, 2013

It has come to the attention of Hawaii Energy, the conservation and efficiency program for Hawaii, Honolulu and Maui counties, that Hawaii residents may have received what appears to be an “Energy Rebate Program” check in the mail (click here for a photo). The outside envelope reads, “Travel Check Voucher Enclosed - Final Notice,” and the phone number listed for follow-up is 808-206-7734. We would like to clarify that this mailing is neither approved nor endorsed by Hawaii Energy. Residents are encouraged to use caution when responding to unsolicited offers such as this. Official communication from Hawaii Energy will always include the Hawaii Energy logo.
