Sharing The Aloha Workshops

Governor David Ige and the Hawaii Energy Policy Forum presented a “Transformational Achievements in Clean Energy” award to
Hawaii Energy and Helen Wai during
the 7th Annual Clean Energy Day conference on July 16, 2015.

Educating, Inspiring and Empowering Communities to Save Energy

Hawaii’s high energy costs are particularly hard for those working multiple jobs living in geographically-isolated areas with multi-generational families.

In 2011, Hawaii Energy developed the "Sharing the Aloha: Energy Efficiency & Financial Literacy" workshops with locally-renowned educator and motivator – Helen Wai.  The free workshops, focused on taking charge of your energy consumption, are presented by Helen from a local point-of-view that makes complex energy topics simple to understand for people from all backgrounds.

The “Sharing the Aloha” workshops have inspired thousands of community groups and businesses to save energy across Hawaii Island, Lanai, Maui, Molokai and Oahu.
