Hawaii Island $100 Refrigerator Trade-Up, $50 Window Air Conditioner Trade Up and $65 Rid-A-Fridge Rebate Offers Suspended Until Further Notice

Effective immediately, the following rebate offers have been suspended in Hawaii County until further notice:

·         $100 Refrigerator Trade-Up

·         $50 Window Air Conditioner Trade Up

·         $65 Rid-A-Fridge Recycling

Due to the recent closure of appliance recycling facilities on the Big Island, there is currently no operational recycling facility to properly dispose of and recycle these appliances in Hawaii County.

Hawaii Energy is actively seeking alternative solutions and hope we can continue to provide the Trade-Up and Rid-A-Fridge offerings to Hawaii Island participants in the near future. We will continue to monitor the situation and will inform our customers once we are able to resume the offerings.
